The nature of crisis communications has changed because of social media driving the news and public opinion, so the skills required to manage a crisis and communicate with the media effectively are changing.  It is important to respond quickly and appropriately to a crisis and PR and marketing professionals play a crucial role in helping to manage the incident.

Communication to all audiences is critical in a crisis where nothing is as it seems.  There is a temptation to wait until the facts are established before communicating, this training helps participants to adapt to any situation and write appropriate media statements and briefing documents quickly and efficiently.
